Standard emulsification process:
- Heat the water phase and the oil phase (with emulsifying wax) separately to 70–75 °C
- Gradually add the oil phase to the water phase under high-shear mixing to form a stable, creamy emulsion
- Allow the mixture to cool gradually while stirring gently
- At lower temperatures, add any optional ingredients such as essential oils
- Finish by incorporating a preservative to extend the product’s shelf life
